This is an original and NOT a reproduction or reissue. Visually graded using Goldmine standards, the vinyl looks near mint with beautiful shine but does have a very slight warp. I did play it through on both sides and it played great without skipping or issues. The labels are clean and near perfect. Comes with a plain white sleeve. I package with protective sleeve in a 45 record mailer. Please look at my other auctions for more rare 45's. Very sought after and hard to find so don't miss out!!! Low starting bid and no reserve.
The Jagged Edge from Brooklyn, New York, seemed to have it all - the chops, an excellent and decent-selling debut 45, and even competent management. They'd performed with a veritable who's who of big-name artists, and they seemed poised for better things. But it all went downhill suddenly, beginning with a threatening lawsuit over their name. Crucial momentum was lost and the Jagged Edge never reached the prominence they deserved. They released two singles, "You Can't Keep A Good Man Down" as the Jagged Edge and "A Change Is Gonna Come" as the Offset. Although they never made it big, they left an indelible imprint on Sixties music forever. Members Drew Georgopulos, rhythm guitar; Artie Steinman, lead guitar; Kenny Bennet, drums; Elliot Ingber, lead vocals and Harley Wishner, bass.
