Storming Motown-influenced soul by the long-lasting
California group. Producer Manny Kellem suggested that they
reprise his hit song from the '50s, and it worked with the help of
an updated, 1966 dance floor beat. They also changed "gonna get
along without you" to "can't get along without you", adding to the urgency.
The guys slow down the pace on the sweet soul flip side.
Note: This is the same copy that I offered a few months ago. The
high bidder never paid, and never even contacted me.
