Payment is required within seven days. We mail all paid items ONE WEEK after auctions end. Please keep in mind our listings are time consuming in detail and we are often traveling to find these gems, which at times delays the delivery schedule by a day or two. We ALWAYS process and ship every paid order. We have no control over parcels once they are mailed from our local Post Office.Overseas mail to some countries (Italy, Russia, France, in particular) has became very slow. Opening a dispute for slow mail is unacceptable and will result in blocking the bidder. We work hard to provide excellent service as is represented by our 8000 plus positive feedback. We use a VPI machine and thoroughly clean all records. Each order is carefully packaged by removing the LP from the jacket to avoid seam splits, use of 3 ml plastic cover sleeves over each LP and jacket, cardboard pad inserts, and placed in sturdy record mailers for safe delivery. We take Customer Service seriously, and want you to be satisfied. SCARCE long long gone original issue ... this was the SUPERIOR second album by the Charlatans that we feel is even better than their 1969 release on Philips... This album was intended as their Kama Sutra label first 1966 album and was unfortunately never released until nearly 30 years ago when issued as a limited edition only in Europe ... copies are sought after and have been increasingly hard to find... here a *mint* spare up for grabs...
The Charlatans grew out of the San Francisco music scene around 1965. They are often considered the first psychedelic band which is more or less the fact with band members eating lots of LSD. They vied with The Jefferson Airplane as SF's premier band. The album is blues-based rock with McGuinn-jangly guitar and folksy melodies.What they were certainly instrumental in doing, was establishing not only the San Francisco scene, but the entire west coast sound in general. Their story is rather tragic, in terms of missed chances and blown opportunities. The music within contains a diversity of styles, from rural rock, to hippie laced rag-time, to jangly guitar driven folk rock, to blues, and even a few west coast flavored psychedelic nuggets - all with a distinct garage element -- adding up to being better than their 1969 Lp.
