RARE 'Atco' issue anyway, but here the advance release promotional Original 1966 VINYL first pressing in glorious monophonic ... This is the very rare ATCO RECORDS pressing with different (superior) cover to the Fontana Records issue!!
The rare mono release delivers different song mixes from the stereo issue and as well features the big bold booster in the monophonic sound production -- way different from the stereo release...
The Troggs were a successful English rock band of the 1960s, who had a number of hits in Britain and America, including their most famous song, "Wild Thing". The Troggs were from the town of Andover in southern England. The band's name comes from shortening the word troglodyte - meaning "cave dweller".
This IS thee American release of their first album...and the Troggs will rock your cave with this one! Their singing is all sex. It drips with pure stalactytic hormonal sludge...god bless the Troggs.
The 1966 album was released and named after the #1 US hit "Wild Thing". It added on 3 tracks and left out four tracks off the UK album of the Lp that had a different title "From Nowhere" ("Ride Your Pony" and "The Kitty Cat Song", "Louie Louie" "Jaguar & Thunderbird"). Instead of those it added "Lost Girl", "With a Girl Like You" and "I Want You", which made the U.S. release a much stronger album. "With A Girl Like You" is a timeless groove and was a solid USA chart smash, Lost Girl is a riviting garage/punker and "I Want You" being an absolute 3-chord heavy fuzzed grinder...The album is actually very strong, tracks like :From Home", "I Just Sing" & "When I'm With You" are as well very cool infectious garage raves with heady appeal....

CONDITION: The Cover:is thick and stiff with great vibrant color, VG+ with very light shelf wear and promo sticker on front, still looks display & collection worthy ...the back cover has a name and check marks by song titles (was a radio station promo) two of the track listings have red circles around them ... the promo status raises the value as a limited pressing
The Vinyl: all glossy clean and clear on both sides M- TOP COPY ...looks immediate stone clean and plays delightful ...VERY enjoyable... the Atco labels are both clean...
