PLEASE READ BEFORE BIDDING: Please read the entire auction listing, including shipping costs, before writing to ask a question. OUR GOAL IS CUSTOMER SATISFACTION. In order to meet that goal, we will ALWAYS work with our customers on any concerns that may arise. In the unlikely instance that you feel the need to open a resolution dispute before working with us, you will immediately be blocked from any further chance to acquire the rare music we present each and every week. Payment is required within seven days. We mail all paid items ONE WEEK after auctions end. Please keep in mind our listings are time consuming in detail and we are often traveling to find these gems, which at times delays the delivery schedule by a day or two. We ALWAYS process and ship every paid order. We have no control over parcels once they are mailed from our local Post Office. Overseas mail to some countries (Italy, Russia, France, in particular) has became very slow. Opening a dispute for slow mail is unacceptable and will result in blocking the bidder. We work hard to provide excellent service as is represented by our 8000 plus positive feedback. We use a VPI machine and thoroughly clean all records. Each order is carefully packaged by removing the LP from the jacket to avoid seam splits, use of 3 ml plastic cover sleeves over each LP and jacket, cardboard pad inserts, and placed in sturdy record mailers for safe delivery. We take Customer Service seriously, and want you to be satisfied. Please give us 5 stars in each category through the feedback system, and we will be able to effectively continue to fulfill your passion for rare and collectible music! NEVER SEEN, especially with M- vinyl...hardly a mention of even existence on the internet, their were obviously not many copies manufactured and we are talking a 50 years ago local to Argentina-only pressing.
Without a doubt one of the most rare of all '60s beat-rock Lp's - this is a split LP one side is the fabulous SHAKERS the other side the obscure tho highly rated Con's Combo. The split "battle of beat" groups LP, titles "Hippie O Beat" is clearly an unfair advantage, for virtually no '60s garage band has what it takes to best the Shakers. Even managing a USA released Lp (their first) in 1965, when the Shakers - were a dead ringer for sound of The Beatles and not a Beatles copy band but rather reatining their own unique style that rivaled the Beatles. By 1966 - 1967 the Shakers, like the Beatles, progressed to the highest levels, the Shakers releasing (1966) "For You" (on par with "Rubber Soul" & "Revolver") and 1967 "The Secret Conference At Toto's Bar (ala "Sgt Pepper" & "Magical Mystery" psychedelic blends) yes, the Shakers had an incredible uncanny resemblance to the fab four -- but writing and playing their own material - original poprock perfection as strong as The Beatles. The memorable tunes, powerful & gorgeous, melodies worthy of sticking in the mind for days. Their output on side two combines a solid accounting of the greatness of the Shakers featuring a unique mix of 1966 era Beatles variations & original self written gems.
Side one opens with a totally obscure group, Con's Combo - however they released numerous 45's and three Lp's. The group was actually Swedish, singing in English, like The Shakers. Led by Conny Soderland (guitar/vocals) Con's Combo were comprised of Bo Gathu on bass/vocals, Owe Monk (organ/vocals) & Charlie on drums/vocals.) The group toured South America where they became very popular to the point they re-located (moved) to Argentina. They received multiple offers appearing on TV, and film ("The Strange Long Hair".) As far as their music goes they had a formidable rounded memorable melodies laced beatrock sound. Not different from say '66 British Beat & Mod rock sounds of the day.

CONDITION: The cover: rated: VG++ top copy when the very fragile peper-thin cover is in remarkable shape considering the delicateness and being 50 years old ! Visually previous handling is the only minor issue causing some crinkles at bottom right area, otherwise very shape. No delete marks, no split seams, and no writing Collection worthy - impossibly rare!
The vinyl: Rated: M- smooth and clear, beautiful, so plays perfect without issue, highly enjoyable through all tracks ... Both Galeria labels are clean!
