Please carefully read our entire listing to answer any questions you may have,  including discount shipping rates at end of listing; then contact us directly with any other information you may need.

WITH MUCH APPRECIATION TO ALL OUR CUSTOMERS:  If you have a question on orders received, please contact us.  We take Customer Service seriously, and want you to be satisfied.   When leaving Feedback, please consider the following:  eBay's policy on the 5-star rating system is anything less than a 5  reduces our standing with eBay and ultimately can affect our selling abilities.   SO please give us 5 stars in each category through the feedback system, and we will be able to effectively continue to fulfill your passion for rare and collectible music!  We have served thousands of satisfied customers  - far more than our feedback records indicate - and our aim is to continue to do so.

We have a VPI machine and thoroughly clean all records.   Each order is carefully packaged by removing the LP from the jacket to avoid seam splits, use of  2/3 ml plastic cover sleeves over each LP and jacket, cardboard pad inserts, and placed in sturdy record mailers.

We mail all paid orders out once a week on Fridays/Saturdays.  Please keep in mind our listings are time consuming in detail and we are often traveling to find these gems, which at times delays the delivery schedule to Monday.   We strive to keep our shipping and handling costs as close to actual charges as reasonable.  We ALWAYS process and ship every paid order.  Please be aware we have no control over parcels once they are mailed from our local Post Office.

TO OUR REPEAT CUSTOMERS:  We are happy to hold orders to save on shipping.  Please pay your current invoice within five days of auctions ending and, if you request, we will hold your order and reflect a shipping discount for each additional order shipped together in the same parcel.

       BEAUTIFUL 1967 CLEAN MONOPHONIC COLLECTIBLE

        THE ROLLING STONES

       BETWEEN THE BUTTONS

USA - LONDON RECORDS ~ (((rare Maroon))) LL 3499 - MONOPHONIC

NICE, *CLEAN* ...collectible.... 1967 Original vinyl pressing in glorious MONO ...on the very hard to find maroon color London label of the mid sixties.

The RARE sought after monaural pressing offers different song mixes from the stereo version and, as well, has the punchy boom in the sound production which differs greatly from the more common stereo release.

Between The Buttons was released in January 1967 and continued the Rolling Stones transition from rhythm & blues group to rock & roll group extraordinaire.

Between The Buttons contained very few Rolling Stones signature songs but showed a new-found confidence and arguably is one of their best albums. Mick Jagger and Keith Richards wrote all the songs for the second album in a row showing not only that they had matured as songwriters but proving they had reached the point where they could create an album on their own terms.

Brian Jones increasing drug addiction and abusive relationship with girlfriend Anita Pallenberg allowed him less time in the studio. While he would continue to add his various creative instrumental sounds to the studio tracks his original input was becoming minimal. This would enable Keith Richards to flourish on the guitar. His guitar playing on such songs as “Convicted,” “All Sold Out,” “My Obsession” and “Miss Amanda Jones” is universally excellent. The great single release “Let’s Spend The Night Together/Ruby Tuesday” forms the foundation for Between The Buttons. The overtly sexual lyrics and rhythms of “Let’s Spend The Night Together” were too much for American radio so disc jockeys turned the record over and played “Ruby Tuesday” which became a number one hit song. “Ruby Tuesday” features one of the great Mick Jagger vocals. Also Brian Jones intertwines his recorder or possibly flute throughout the song giving it a wonderful counterpoint. In many ways it was Marianne Faithful who would drive the content of many of the songs. She and Mick Jagger were having a secret affair when the album was being put together and Mick Jagger’s creative juices could not escape this fact. “Who’s Been Sleeping Here,” “Complicated” and “Something Happened To Me Yesterday” can be considered the Marianne Faithful trilogy. “Who’s Been Sleeping Here” shows Jagger’s insecurities concerning Faithful’s loyalties. “Complicated” probably summarizes the Marianne Faithful-Mick Jagger relationship.   The wonderfully infectious “Connection” would have disappeared into the Rolling Stones catalogue except for the fact it featured the first Keith Richards lead vocal. Mick Jagger and Keith Richards were not satisfied with Between The Buttons. Jagger said publicly that the Stones fiddled with the album too much. They recorded the album on a four-track system and began overdubbing many of the instruments which changed the original concept of some of the songs. Between The Buttons was a commercial success and stood up tall amidst such then recent releases as Blonde On Blonde by Bob Dylan, Pet Sounds by the Beach Boys and Revolver by The Beatles.
