ORIGINAL 1967 FIRST ALBUM ON THE FAMED MAINSTREAM LABEL!
HARD DETROIT GARAGE ROCK RIPPER
TED NUGENTS FIRST VINYL APPEARANCE!
The AMBOY DUKES
USA - MAINSTREAM Records - 6104
Scarce and always wanted (by collectors!), 1967 very first album by the mighty AMBOY DUKES, featuring young Ted Nugent and his firebrand shredding guitar & fuzz-tone peddle effects...
Semi rough, Detroit blues based rock. Their killer rated "Baby Please Don't Go" is one of the best versions ever, a real ripper of the kind...besides that, the first Amboy Dukes album is an excellent psych album; blues based rock tinged with garage flavor, and Nugent's ever present guitar, sometimes fuzz based. There are a few covers, but done competently and with enough of their own input to really keep your interest. The originals are definite products of those times, with excellent period flavor, and even some sitar on "Psalms of Aftermath". This will appeal to fans of both pop/psych, and psych/hard rock, and is a true symbol of it's time.

CONDITION: The cover is solid, with bright and vibrant color...having no seam seam splits or bends, "EX" (excellent) but for a very small area that appears to be faded ink or such. Not very noticable but there...
The vinyl is all glossy clean, "EX" (excellent) to M- (closer to M-) and plays flawlessly clean and enjoyable in top levels...
A cool addition to anyone's music library!
