DUKE PEARSON LP THE PHANTOM (Blue Note BST 84293). Released 1969.
"Duke Pearson utilized an intriguing and atmospheric nonet for this 1968 project. Jerry Dodgion on flute and alto flute is a key voice in a group also including the extraordinary Bobby Hutcherson, Sam Brown & Al Gafa on guitars, bass, drums and two percussionists, playing moody originals. As a bonus, "Say You're Mine" features Pearson in a trio. Stereo Van Gelder Liberty original. One of my favourite Blue Notes. The Phantom is modal heaven pure bliss."
(Matrix #: "BNST 84293 A/B VAN GELDER").
A few widely-scattered light marks. Free of warps. Has been safely stored upright in a climate-controlled environment.
COVER NM
No seam splits, stains, front ring wear, tape, cut-out marks, creases, water damage, stickers, or color fading. Nice label & sharp hole nearly free of spindle scuffs.
