Very Rare Copy of The Jimi Hendrix Experience: Electric Ladyland.
UK 2LP on Polydor.
Features the original nude cover that Jimi was unhappy with that future copies excluded.
This vinyl was purchased and listened to ONCE by myself in order to give a proper grading of the records. The previous owner took very good care of this record, and is obviously not only very hard to find in this condition, but very hard to find period.
I am a record collector and I grade vinyl very strictly (I do not follow any particular grading scale except my own).
This was listened to in Stereo on a Technics Direct Drive Automatic SL-D500 player using a high-end Stanton stylus.
The vinyl jacket is in excellent condition with a slight crease in the upper left hand corner, there is little to no ring wear on the jacket itself. The records come in a very heavy cardstock glossy gatefold cover (Polydor is well known for having early vinyl editions pressed on high quality vinyl in cardstock sleeves that come coated in a light plastic gloss to protect the quality of the vinyl and cover images over time.)
The records themselves are in fantastic condition. With very light surface marks (typical to records of this age) that do not affect play. There is some static at the start and end of a couple sides. This appears to be nothing that a good cleaning wouldn't fix. I am leaving it up to the buyer to clean the albums themselves. I don't clean records that I sell in case of the unlikely event that the discs are damaged during cleaning.
