Here is a album from my collection offered up for sale: An INSANELY RARE 1968 MONO gold label Lp album by The Doors, Here is their 3rd earth shaking album "Waiting for the Sun". This late mono pressing also has the RARE cover with MONO printing. The Mono pressings were discontinued by 1968 and only a handful of these mono pressings were pressed! Most of these were made for AM radio stations. This hard to find mono first pressing has stamped dead wax that reads EKL 4024A-1A and EKL 4024B 1A. Great songs, a different sounding mix than the common stereo version! Songs include: Hello I love you, Love street, The unknown soldier, Spanish Caravan, "5 to one" PLUS MORE great obscure songs that never turn up on the best of albums!!! Released in 1968 on Elektra records EKL-4024 MONO. The vinyl grades VG+, close to EX, is clean and glossy, has some light marks, nothing heavy, has been PLAY TESTED! Plays from start to finish with very good sound quality, minimal surface noise, no skips, no jumps, a very enjoyable listen! The original gold Elektra labels do not have writing,very minimal wear.(see photos) The original MONO uni pak gatefold cover rates VG+, is clean, no splits, no tape, no signatures or writing, has edge wear, binder center has small bit of slick missing, minimal ring wear! Has vintage SAMPLE COPY sticker in upper left hand corner. Tiny 1/4 inch split at bottom of gatefold at the fold. (see photos). Has the original vintage gold Elektra printed inner sleeve in EX condition! (see photos). NO RESERVE! Will be shipped in a protective plastic sleeve inside a secure record mailing box with tracking number. Vinyl will be shipped in sleeve outside cover to prevent cover splits.
