Description
No reserve price, no skips. Original vintage 1970 Led Zeppelin III (3, Three) Atlantic SD 7201 1st press with the Aleister Crowley quote 'So Mote Be It' in the matrix on both sides. I've been collecting for 25 years and I still don't like grading records but there are no splits in the dust sleeve, light wear to the outer jacket mainly on one corner and a spot on the cover right by the L in Led. LP looks great with no fingerprints but there are just a few extremely faint marks on both sides & a 1/2" noticeable mark on the Immigrant Song that doesn't really seam to affect the sound. There is a little surface noise in the silent and very quiet parts, I heard it mainly on Tangerine and the beginning of both sides, a serious cleaning might take care of most of it. I rarely claim a first press but this one is pretty well documented, I also read a post on a site by the engineer Terry Manning himself talking about how he hand etched those phrases on the first 2 sets of lacquer masters at Page's request. Comes in a poly sleeve & will be packed well in a cardboard LP mailer.
