Payment is required within seven days. We mail all paid items ONE WEEK after auctions end. Please keep in mind our listings are time consuming in detail and we are often traveling to find these gems, which at times delays the delivery schedule by a day or two. We ALWAYS process and ship every paid order. We have no control over parcels once they are mailed from our local Post Office.Overseas mail to some countries (Italy, Russia, France, in particular) has became very slow. Opening a dispute for slow mail is unacceptable and will result in blocking the bidder. We work hard to provide excellent service as is represented by our 8000 plus positive feedback. We use a VPI machine and thoroughly clean all records. Each order is carefully packaged by removing the LP from the jacket to avoid seam splits, use of 3 ml plastic cover sleeves over each LP and jacket, cardboard pad inserts, and placed in sturdy record mailers for safe delivery. We take Customer Service seriously, and want you to be satisfied. Original 1970 first pressing of the great classic UK Blues-Boomer....
....hard to find so *clean* like this...
One thing for sure it seems every recording line up that included Aynsley Dunbar always shined. In this case we are treated to a good set of blues driven by the edition of Tommy Eyre on keyboards. The progressions as expected are easy to follow, but the heavy vocals of Victor Brox on top of accented organ & fat thick guitar riffs entertain the listener to no end. One highlight is the soulful "Don't Take the Power Away". This may be the first Retaliation album to try, and if you like John Mayall British Blues or Fleetwwod Green's Mac type of music this would be a good addition.
To Mum From Aynsley And The Boys marked the bands second release from 1970 and found the band shifting styles somewhat with the addition of keyboardist Tommy Eyre, who added a layered more R&B feel to the album and the production work of John Mayall.
From the British blues boom of the 1960s emerged some exceptional individual musicians; Cyril Davies, Eric Clapton and Peter Green being among the most notable. But there was no doubt that the Aynsley Dunbar Retaliation took the prize as the most talented blues band, one with no weak links. Although rarely mentioned in the same breath as Ginger Baker, Keith Moon or John Bonham, all the musicians knew that Aynsley Dunbar was a world-class drummer in any popular genre, easily a match for the better-known names. Together with bassist Alex Dmochowski, they formed a rhythm section unmatched on the blues scene for its drive, finesse and the ability to swing. In Victor Brox, the Retaliation had one of Britain s finest blues singers, a multi-instrumentalist and prolific composer. Uniquely among the blues bands, the majority of the Retaliation s recorded output was self-penned, most of it written by Brox. And guitarist John Morshead provided a master class in less is more ; a blues player of taste and fluency rivalled only by Peter Green.
