We mail all paid items ONE WEEK after auctions end. Please keep in mind our listings are time consuming in detail and we are often traveling to find these gems, which at times delays the delivery schedule by a day or two. We ALWAYS process and ship every paid order. We have no control over parcels once they are mailed from our local Post Office.Overseas mail to some countries (Italy, Russia, France, in particular) has become very slow. Opening a dispute for slow mail is unacceptable and will result in blocking the bidder. We work hard to provide excellent service as is represented by our 8000 plus positive feedback.   We use a VPI machine and thoroughly clean all records. Each order is carefully packaged by removing the LP from the jacket to avoid seam splits, use of 3 ml plastic cover sleeves over each LP and jacket, cardboard pad inserts, and placed in sturdy record mailers for safe delivery.   We take Customer Service seriously, and want you to be satisfied. RARE  &  SOUGHT AFTER...

Original 1970 first pressing on the legendary sought after Swirling VERTIGO label ... in nice gatefold cover....the very first and arguably best Beggars Opera LP, along with "Pathfinder" ....

What a mindblowing debut album this is! The very melodic and harmonic music from this five-piece band is based upon an incredible dynamic and propulsive rhythm-section and splendid, very exciting Hammond organ work, often accompanied by a powerful and fiery electric guitar. The interplay between the musicians is magnificent and the excertions on keyboards and guitar are very compelling, in the spirit of the late Sixties and early Seventies. The vocals are also worth to be mentioned: distinctive with an enthusiastic approach and often a bit cynical undertone but at some moments also warm and plesant. "Act one" precedes the Mellotron driven symphonic prog which featured on its immediate successors ("Waters of change" and "Pathfinder"), but is nonetheless heavily influenced by the classics. Consisting of just five tracks, it needs to be remembered that this album was released in the same year as Pink Floyd were moving from psych into prog with "Atom heart Mother". "ACT ONE" has gained worthy recognition as a truly superb piece of high energy prog/psych works...

CONDITION: The cover: Pretty collectible shape here, near "EX" (excellent) with just a little scuffing to laminated gatefold cover but only noticable when reflected by light. Otherwise very nice. No split seams or other alarming issues and has the originalbright colors... 

The vinyl: Both sides are brightly shiny; VG++ (with one exception)... aside from having some nothing but minor top surface inner sleeve scuffs there is one feelable needle mark on first track side one (VG). Play graded the entire album: that first track plays with some light ticks, even so, most of the track plays enjoyable. The rest of side one and all of side two plays in excellent audio zones... Both swirl Vertigo labels are clean
