That my friends is pretty much the story of the success of this Gospel Singing Family. I personally met the Sullivans shortly after two of their greatest heartaches had fallen. First the death of Enoch-and Emmett’s Dad (Jerrys brother) followed by an urgent cancer operation from which Enoch could have very well not recovered, had it not been for the Lord Jesus taking over and adding years to his life. Today to look at him and watch him perform in singing, fiddling, guitar playing or in his good congenial way of emceeing their singing, you’d never know that he had ever had a sick day. Other tragedies including a wreck which could have ended their career and lives, proved with the other heartaches to be but stepping stones on the way to brighter days and the happiness of which I wrote about at the first. I have watched them climb to the heights of one of the most demanded Gospel singing groups and still growing. I have watched them as many hundreds of friends wel- comed them at'the Sullivan Family annual home coming in Mobile, Alabama. I have noticed however, that this success has not kept them from still going to the little humble churches around the country and yielding to God’s moving in the Holy Ghost annointing for which I am most grateful. Margie, Enoch, Emmett and Jerry, sing it seems like never before in this album with their group numbers, Margie soloing in "Satisfied", Jerry solo- ing on his own song "Born Again Experience”. I was happy to play a part in this album by leading out on one of my Walter Bailes Songs, "Lord Of My Life”. Oh yes, among the happiness and successes of the Sullivans are five great Gospel Albums and, the Lord willing, more to come. God Bless You, Walter Bailes and Ott Travis L .....
