Description
My research indicates this excellent LP has never been offered on eBay before.
The group is called The C J’s. They play all the instruments and sing. They also wrote and arranged most of the songs. Please see my photos for track listings, and instruments they play.
The music is Jazz Soul with a little Funk and even a touch of wah-wah electric guitar. With excellent saxophone and keyboard leads and improvisations.
The vocals and vocal harmonies are very good.
A joy to listen to. The music is well recorded; even the bass and drums are very prominent. The separation of instruments is very good: hence excellent fidelity, especially for a private pressing.
Condition:
The Cover is Mint in the shrink, no flaws. Includes original mint- inner sleeve.
The vinyl is Mint-, no spindle lines but played at least twice, because I played it once. There is a small scuff on side 2 which is not audible. On the intro grooves there is one or two minor clicks, the rest plays beautifully with no clicks or pops.
Label: New Gospel Sound 1028333
Year Released: 1970-1974, my research shows it was definitely between those years, and most likely issued in 1972.
I have put this LP on a ten day auction so you can have time to search and see how truly rare this one is, (NO KNOWN SALES THAT I COULD FIND). There may have been as few as 50 (or fewer) of these made.
Based on my extensive experience over the last 30 years, my estimate on value of this album is $750-$1500; considering the rarity and musical quality.
Contrary to my usual return policy, there are no returns on this item; but any serious collector would never want to return this one.
I can’t do sound clips, if you’d like to hear it email me with your phone number.

RECORD GRADING (Usually Visual) :
FS=Original Factory Sealed. ///
New= New (or Mint) perfect in every way, record appears unplayed. ///
New- = New minus (or Mint minus), record played maybe 1 to 9 times , perhaps a few spindle lines on label, and maybe a sleeve line or two. Covers close to M, has maybe a small corner bend, maybe the very slightest of ring line caused by the record.///
VG+ = Very Good Plus, record played a little more than an m- but well cared for. Vinyl has the vast majority of its original luster, may have sleeve lines, maybe a few very lite scuffs; maybe one or two small, very light surface scratches. But not all at the same time. Cover MAY have very minor ringwear, maybe a few other flaws, a minor corner bend or two, maybe a small partial seam split; ///
VG = record has the flaws of a VG+, only more of them; may also have some small scratches that are felt with a fingernail. Vinyl is very playable and will play through, good luster. Probably some noise between tracks, maybe in quiet passages. Still, a reasonably well cared for record. /// VG- = proportionally lower than a VG.////
G = It is rare that I will even list a record in this condition; but it will be proportionally lower than a VG-.
