1971 Music From Bonanza and the High Chaparral M- Double LP
Xanadu Pleasure Dome – Music From Bobabza and the High Chaparral” ((Capitol STBB 626). Sadly, no original music was issued from the “High Chaparral” series but in March 1971 a lavishly-illustrated double LP set of ‘Music from Bonanza & High Chaparral’ was released, produced by lyricist Joe Lubin and David Cavanaugh of Capitol Records. Cuts include: Music From "Bonanza" – “The Big Bonanza”; “How Can I Leave You”; “The Cartwright Brothers”; “It Won't Be Very Long”; “Jamie”; “Blood Brothers”; “The Big Man”; “Jim Along Rosy”; “Man Passing Through”; and “Bonanza.” The Big Bonanza” is a David Rose updated theme that was written for the 12th season of that show. On disc 2 , “Music From ‘The High Chaparral’” we find: “Theme From "The High Chaparral"; “The Guns Of Johnny Rondo”; “Blue's Theme”; “Cantina”; “Manolito”l; “Cochise”; “Ridin' The Trail”; “Victoria”; “All For You”; and “Montoya.” Although the LP was credited to The Xanadu Pleasure Dome (where Xanadu was the production company behind the series), all the tracks were arranged and conducted by Sydney Dale and recorded at CTS Studios London under the auspices of John Richards. Gatefold cover. Records and cover are in M- condition. Postage will be paid by purchaser.
