PLEASE READ BEFORE BIDDING: Please read the entire auction listing, including shipping costs, before writing to ask a question. OUR GOAL IS CUSTOMER SATISFACTION. In order to meet that goal, we will ALWAYS work with our customers on any concerns that may arise. Because of that dedication, there should be no need to open a resolution dispute before working with us. Please keep in mind, we would prefer to continue to provide you the opportunity to acquire the rare music we present each and every week. Payment is required within seven days. We mail all paid items ONE WEEK after auctions end. Our listings are time consuming in detail and we are often traveling to find these gems, which at times delays the delivery schedule by a day or two. We ALWAYS process and ship every paid order. We have no control over parcels once they are mailed from our local Post Office. Overseas mail to some countries (Italy, Russia, France, in particular) has become very slow. Opening a dispute for slow mail is unacceptable. We work hard to provide excellent service as is represented by our well over +22,000 positive feedback. We use an ultrasonic KLAudio machine and thoroughly clean all records. Each order is carefully packaged by removing the LP from the jacket to avoid seam splits, use of 3 ml plastic cover sleeves over each LP and jacket, cardboard pad inserts, and placed in sturdy record mailers for safe delivery. We take Customer Service seriously, and want you to be satisfied. Please give us 5 stars in each category through the feedback system, and we will be able to effectively continue to fulfill your passion for rare and collectible music! We have served thousands of satisfied customers - far more than our feedback records indicate - and our aim is to continue to do so. Germany - LIBERTY Records - LBS 83 481 82 T

Alright! The mighty PETARDS, long lived German pop-rock and heavy fuzz psych crew, early on the scene were workhorses, releasing records from 1967 through 1971 when after a show they abruptly splintered and vanished forever without a trace. Much loved, the PETARDS drew fans no matter the rock style they performed peaking on their highly sought "HIT SCHOCK" LP, a fuzzed-filled guitar burner with great tunes, always self penned.
"Pet Arts" is a lavish 2-LP set with a smashing front & back laminated gatefold cover ...psychedelic eye-candy ! Incidentally, this album is their most difficult to find; probably Liberty Records cut the release when the group were suddenly no more just as this album was being released.
The sixties and early seventies were busy and exciting years for The Petards consisting of Klaus and Horst Ebert, Roger Waldmann and Arno Dittrich. With 'Hitshock' they had released a successful heavy-psych album, performing in theaters all over Germany; they had performed at the legendary 'Olympia' in Paris and had played some 150 concerts.
The band was on the radio in 1970 no less than 800 times, and of course the band was on the top of the relevant annual polls of the music press everywhere!
From November to December 1970 the band was back in the studio to record their fourth album, "PET ARTS". Their label Liberty had generously given them a double album, four LP sides had to be filled. No problem for the creative Ebert brothers, Klaus and Horst, who once again were responsible for writing all the songs. This time the band wasn't accommodated in Munich's Trixi Studio where the previous albums had been recorded. Instead, they stayed with sound guru Dieter Dierks in the trendy Dierks Studio in Stommeln.
Siggi Loch was not present at the sessions, the band and Klaus Ebert in particular acted as producers themselves. The result was the band's most experimental album with a colorful kaleidoscope cover and strong psychedelic tracks. The songs got longer and more unusual, the PETARDS didn't care about the radio compatibility of the earlier albums. They had fun and tested what was possible. A great album, which surely belongs to the best what at that time came out of German studios. The four sides are all original tunes, kind of an overview of their prolific rock styles.

The cover: rated:VG++ Lavish & laminated front & back psychedelic gatefold has only light scuffs, not bothersome given scarcity and little bits about the outer edges from light handling over the past 50+ years. Same for the inside dark cover. There are no delete marks, no split seams, and no writing ...bright colorful outsides

The vinyl: Rated: VG+ light random hair scuffs ... played all four sides which were enjoyable if one doesn't mind every once in awhile light audio top surface - and much without. All 4 labels are clean
