Description
"1971 Pepsi- Cola Radio " is a double LP in a gatefold sleeve , released in1971 on Pepsi -Cola SDC 1722/3 .The albums contain 34 radio spot advertisements for Pepsi-Cola including many of the contemporary top artists singing the jingles . Those performing the jingles are Johnny Cash 4 , B.J. Thomas 4 ,B.B. King 4 ,Ronnie Dyson 2, Delaney & Bonnie 2 , Ides Of March 2 , Roberta Flack 2 and Bobbie Bloom 2 , the remainder are performed anonymously . The record has stops between each track to stop the DJs accidentally running them into one another on the radio , so the needle has to be lifted over these to continue playing . The records are in excellent condition . The front sleeve has the remnants of two stickers on the top corners plus a couple of small marks [see photo ] . There are also splits in the bottom middle of both sleeves .Out of interest I will be sending out a letter from Pepsi -Cola which I found in the sleeve when I originally bought the record [see photo ] .
