Some heavy hitting modern jazz Lp collectables going in this week, my own collection so lovely condition rarities mostly. Check my ebay store. 1st and rarely seen 1971 UK labels Blue Note ELVIN JONES Polycurrents, with his autograph obtained by me at the Cork Jazz Festival, after the performance at the Everyman. The show finished, and as apparently she had one for most performances since they got together, the beautiful Keiko was dismantling Elvin's kit. A handful of us had not chosen to leave yet, I was basking in the delight of seeing him for the first time, she invited the four or five of us back to say hello to him. Ever since I have kicked myself for not asking her to sign the front as well, as she looks great on it, and you could tell that even after decades of being together they were still very much in love. I have written about this experience for UK Vibe magazine at the time of the Coltrane 50th anniversary of his passing, and mentioned there the obtaining of the signature. Musically a superb album, with a triple threat sax front line; George Coleman, Pepper Adams and Joe Farrell, plus Candido on Congas. Van Gelder Stamps to both sides run out grooves, original insert included. Scarce as a wonderful piece of Coltrane Quartet/Blue Note memorabilia hard to find anything signed by him right now, 21 years after his passing, he would have been 98 this May. Near mint record in an excellent sleeve plays excellent to Near Mint. My ethos is to offer you best sounding analogue only pressings of vintage records. Here is another beauty of that type. We offer massive postage subsidies to overseas buyers on multiple purchases. i.e £1 extra per lp to a maximum of £15, then no extra charge. We pack carefully in custom made hard card boxes. If the appearance or playgrade suggests it requires it, our records are cleaned on a wash and vac machine, using art du son fluid in distilled water. This is already in a new heavy poly outer with antistatic inners added with outer sleeve and records all layered behind each other to prevent splits.
