Miller was bom in the beautiful hills of east Tennessee, he has been playing guitar, banjo and the mandolin. Since he was a child upon his father’s knee, music has been as natural to him as nursery rhymes are to a child. His first album was greeted with tremendous enthusiasm because of unique ability and unusual style. Fans from all over the mountains of Tennessee, N. C., and Virginia, flock to hear him play. In this great bluegrass album, you too will find yourself swinging to the mellow country music and his natural style of banjo and guitar playing. More recently, Mr. Miller has been teaching all types of string instruments to a host of students in the three state area; North Carolina, Virginia and Tennessee. He is in such demand that time does not permit him to teach all who call. But to those who are fortunate to have him as a teacher are pleased beyond imagination, and they are playing where the guitar and banjo are superb. SUSAN TAYLOR Bom and raised in Johnson City, Tennessee, Susan Taylor began playing the banjo in 1968. She gives credit to Johnny Lecka of Johnson City for helping her the most with the banjo, and to her friends Nat Winston & Earl Scruggs who also inspired and taught her. Susan studied at the University of Tennessee, and presently owns a music store, Taylor’s Guitar Shop, in Elizabethton, Tenn. BENNY SIMS Benny Sims, Veteran fiddle player of the early Flatt & Scruggs team, can be heard on Arkansas Traveler, and also Foggy Mt. Breakdown and Pike County Breakdown, in which he and Susan capture the original sound that Benny helped to establish. Benny lives in Johnson City, Tenn., and is a sales representative for Life and Casualty Company. Hoyle Bowman Elizabethton, Tenn. Side 1 E. C. Miller (Banjo) Lee Roy Canter (Fiddle) Roy B.
