The Album: Squeeze is the fifth and final studio album to be released under the Velvet Underground name. It was primarily written and recorded by singer-guitarist Doug Yule in a London recording studio, following the departures of Lou Reed and Sterling Morrison. Drummer Maureen Tucker, while still technically a member of the band at this time, was not involved in the recording.
Eleven tracks. Thirty-three minutes. Squeeze is a Velvet Underground album, only technically it's not. It's a Doug Yule solo album, only technically it's not. For nearly 40 years now, it's been in music purgatory, floating idly in an uncategorizable limbo. And yet if you pluck it from the shackles of its murky back-story, Squeeze is nothing short of a quintessential listening experience.

Album Condition: The album cover is in pristine condition. The original album liner is also in excellent condition. The vinyl is very good and has only been played a few times. This is the original, authentic, first UK pressing. It is not an import, or a counterfeit pressing. It has the original, thin cardboard cover (European style) and the original "glossy" finish on the album cover. Very good copy of a rare collectible LP. The typical label is the Red Polydor label with white Polydor logo. "Arranged and Produced by The Velvets", "All Titles written by D. Yule". This is the rare slightly different label - "P1972 POLYDOR LTD." printed on two lines instead of one on the right side of the label.
