Description
1974 Charles Earland Jazz Funk Soundtrack LP (Dynamite Brothers)
Charles Earland – “Dynamite Brothers” (Prestige 10082). Great soundtrack by jazz organist Charles Earland from the 1974 martial arts and Blaxploitation film made on location in Watts, Los Angeles, and San Francisco and starring football-hero-turned-actor Timothy Brown and martial artist Alan Tang. “All Music.Com” said about the LP, “Although there were some soul-jazz elements in the score, it also reflected the move among many musicians from that background into funk, fusion, and rock territory in the early- to mid-'70s, particularly in the synthesizers.” Cuts include: "Betty's Theme"; "Never Ending Melody"; "Grasshopper"; "Shanty Blues"; "Weedhopper"; "Razor J."; "Snake"; "Kungfusion"; and "Incense of Essence." Record is a cut-out in strong VG+ to M- condition. Cover is in VG+ condition. Postage will be paid by purchaser.
