Description
Cool original pressing of the debut LP by KISS on CASABLANCA NB 9001. This copy is the rare versions WITHOUT the song Kissin' Time. LP Jacket VG overall, but the spine is split about 60% and there is a one inch split to the top seam. LP itself has a slight edge warp which causes the tonearm to "shake" a little when the needle goes over the area for the first song on both sides. This doesn't really affect play as long as the tonearm is on the moderate to heavier setting, however it does cause the needle to jump if the tonearm is 'light'. Overall, the record play grades VG and is still very enjoyable. Not a super clean copy, but an affordable alternative! Please see my other auctions.
GRADING SCALE:
NM = A near perfect record in every way. Record shows no obvious signs of wear.
VG++ = Somewhere between VG+ and Near Mint.
VG+ = Record has been played, but previous owner took good care of it. Record will have light scuffs or light scratches that don't affect one's listening experience. VERY little to no background/surface noise will be heard while the record is playing.
VG = Light to moderate Background/surface noise will be evident upon playing, especially in soft passages and during a song's fade and intro. This background noise will not overpower the music otherwise, however. Groove wear and light scratches (deep enough to affect sound) will be noticeable. Still a nice record.
VG- = Somewhere between VG and G+.
G/G+ = Significant surface noise upon playing. Scratches and visible groove wear will be evident. Record will play through without skipping or sticking however.
Fair/Poor = Cracked, severely warped, with skips or sticks, or have obvious signs of HEAVY play. Basically it will serve better as a coaster than a record.
