Loyal Gamer's musical inclinations started back when she was nearly 5 years old. Her brother would prop her up on a high chair and teach her to hold certain notes on the bass fiddle while he’d accompany her on the piano. Her love for music started then and culminated into a profession only after experiencing her first singing group while still in the third grade, winning the talent show in High School and being nominated Most Outstanding Music Student at the University of Hawaii. Her break into show business started in 1966 at the age of nineteen when she won her first audition to sing in a top hotel in Waikiki. Eventually she joined forces with her brother Kimo and upon learning to really play the electric bass they became a brother-sister team performing in various Waikiki hotels as well as touring the outer Islands. After nearly 4 years together entertaining they decided to go separate ways. It was then that Loyal was forced to learn to play the piano. Lots of hard work and use of her great talent followed. Established finally as a piano bar song stylist she kept her sights on getting more involved in show business which led to her opening at the Canoe House in the Uikai Hotel, in 1974. Known as “The Lady of Love", she is the brightest of Waikiki’s singing stars and to say the future looks great is nothing but the truth. It is my privilege to introduce to you, Hawaii's “FIRST LADY OF LOVE” ... Miss Loyal Gamer. Loyal has dedicated herself to music but it goes beyond just that. She feels very deeply that it is her purpose in life to bring to the world all the love that she can, through her presence and singing ... Put that together and it’s called “LUV-IBES”. In her unique styling, she has developed and captured emotions that you and 1 feel every day. When she cries in her songs your heart will ache, when she is happy and excited your face will show it with a smile and when she sings of love you will truly experience the “LUV-IBES". Love is not the only ingredient in her songs, for Loyal has been blessed with another special gift, that of “HEALING” through her music. This you will experience when you sit back to listen. Just feel her love pouring out and her healing coming through. What also comes through is the delicateness of the way she cries in the song she composed, “THE OTHER WOMAN”. Certainly this displays her understanding and sensitivity to what is happening in today’s society. Perhaps that is why she felt the need in this album to balance it off with a song of hope directed to “LEAN ON ME”, or rather ‘ “LEAN ON HIM” when you're not strong and he’ll help you carry on’. How “Do I Love You” just let me count the many ways. Such is the depth and magnitude found in her favorite love song that it overflows’ into the next song where she combines, A little funk With a little soul Put it together N’ just “LET YOUR LOVE FLOW”. Friendship, a gift Loyal treasures very much led to the recording of this album. Thanks to people like Don McDiarmid, Jr. who believed in her “LUVIBES" and her many “LOYAL” friends and “LOYAL" fans, too numerous to mention, and guided by her spiritual teachers, that the dream of recording this album finally became a reality. Friendship also enabled her to record a lovely song called “ROBERT S SONG . Then thanks also to the friendship of every person, from the “Little Old Man Of The Neighborhood , to the child of the new' world pleading for an age where “WE ONLY HAVE LOVE”. Loyal has such a message to give to the world that I, too, am grateful in being able to help her say it. But saying it isn t enough. Living it and being it all go hand in hand. Feeling it, which you will, you’ll be convinced. Just give her a chance to Sing, sing her songs, be it right, be it wrong, in the night, in the day, anyhow, anyway, she shall sing ”,..
