Description
AFRTS Station Library transcription disc featuring two full LP sides: Jennifer Warnes’ Shot Through the Heart and Neil Larsen’s High Gear, both originally released in 1979. Warnes’ side includes deep cuts like “You Remember Me” (Jesse Winchester), “Sign on the Window” (Bob Dylan), and “Tell Me Just One More Time” (Tom Snow & Leo Sayer). Her hit single “I Know a Heartache When I See One” was issued separately on AFRTS P‑18473. Larsen’s side is a jazz‑rock instrumental set with contributions from Rickie Lee Jones and Lenny Castro. These AFRTS pressings were distributed exclusively to U.S. military stations and were never sold commercially. A scarce pairing of country‑rock and jazz‑fusion from two respected artists, preserved in the RL 39‑9 broadcast series.

Format: 12‑inch, Stereo, 33 1/3 RPM, Stereo transcription disc Label: AFRTS / American Forces Radio & Television Service Sleeve: Generic cardboard sleeve
VG/G from visual inspection and test play on portable turntable. Both sides play through without skips. Light crackle and surface noise present, likely due to residual buildup not fully removed during cleaning. Scratches are minimal and mostly inaudible. Labels show light spindle wear, no writing on Side A, small stains on Side B. Sleeve is generic unbranded cardboard; moderate staining and fading, one small tear, light ring wear, no seam splits. Playback may vary depending on equipment; see photos. Sold as‑is.
