1983 Gary Morris Westwood One Live Concert Radio Program - Live from Gilley's
Gary Morris - "Live from Gilley's" (Westwood One 83-09). This program is from the week of February 26-27, 1983 and features music from a live performance by country artist Gary Morris at Gilley's, a bar/honky-tonk founded in 1971 by country singer Mickey Gilley in Pasadena, Texas. Morris is a singer and stage actor who charted a string of hits on the country music charts throughout the 1980s and is known for the 1983 ballad "The Wind Beneath My Wings", although his credits include more than twenty-five other chart singles on the Billboard country charts, including five No. 1 hits. He has also released nine studio albums, mostly in the country pop vein, with his 1983 album "Why Lady Why" having earned a gold certification from the RIAA. Songs on this LP include "No Place to Hide", "Dreams Die Hard", "Something's Falling", "Whoever's Watching Over Me", "The Miracle of Love", "West Texas Highway", "I'm So Lonesome I Could Cry", "Tell Me That You Love Me Tonight", "Sweet Red Wine", "Get Out of My Heart", "Dancin' the Night Away", "I Can Feel the Fire", "Velvet Chains", and "Don't Look Back."
