Goldmine Record Grading Summary

MINT (M): Vinyl - Absolutely Perfect; No Factory-Pressing Defect; No Factory-Packaging Defect; No Fingerprint; 3rd-Party Certified. Cover - No Seam Split; No Ring Wear; No Crease; No Sticker; No Ink Wear; 3rd-Party Certified.
SEALED (SS): Factory Sealed.
NEAR MINT (NM or M-): Vinyl- No Major Factory Defect; Full Gloss; No Spindle Mark; If Played - No Surface Noise; May Have A Minor Sleeve Scuff From Packaging That Does Not Cover More Than One Track; No Fingerprint. Cover- No Seam Split; No Ring Wear; No Crease; No Sticker or Cut-Out; Very Minor Ink Wear If Any.
EXCELLENT (EX / E) or VERY GOOD DOUBLE-PLUS (VG++): Vinyl - Would Be Near Mint Except For A Few Minor Things; Great Shine; May Have Minor Center-Hole Mark But Not Misshapen; May Have Very Minor Label Wear or Discoloration; May Have Light Sleeve Scuff(s) From Packaging; May Have Minor Fingerprint(s); Very Little Surface Wear; May Have A Light Scratch Not Deep Enough To Feel With Fingernail; May Have Very Minor Warp That Does Not Affect Sound; If Played - Almost No Surface Noise. Cover - Very Minor Seam Wear; Barely Noticeable Ring Wear; Very Slight Corner Crease; No Cut-Out; No Price Tag But May Have Clean Package/Marketing Sticker.
VERY GOOD PLUS (VG+): Vinyl- Shows Some Signs of Handling But Otherwise In Great Condition; Has Most of the Original Gloss Shine; Center Hole May Have Marks or Be Slightly Misshapen; May Have Minor Label Wear, Writing, or Sticker; May Have Some Fingerprints; May Have Some Surface Wear; May Have Minor Scratches Not Deep Enough To Feel With Fingernail; May Have Some Warp That Does Not Affect Sound; If Played - May Have Some Incidental Surface Noise. Cover- Seam Wear But No Seam Split; Some Ring Wear; Some Ink Wear But Not Overwhelming; May Have Corner Creases; No Cut-Out; No Writing (Autographs Accepted); May Have Clean Price Tag or Other Sticker.
VERY GOOD (VG): Vinyl - Lacks Much of Original Gloss Shine; May Have Label Writing, Tape, or Sticker; Some Visible Groove Wear; May Have Light Scratches Deep Enough To Feel With Fingernail; If Played - Some Surface Noise or Audible Scratches Perhaps in Intro, Ending, and Soft Passages But Does Not Overpower Music. Cover- May Have Seam Split But Not Obvious (For Example: Minor Bottom-Seam Split Less Than One Inch); Ring Wear in the Middle or Edge But Not Overwhelming; Creases; May Have Minor Defacing or Cut-Out Mark; May Have Writing, Tape, Stamp, Price Tag, or Sticker.
GOOD (G), or GOOD PLUS (G+), or VERY GOOD MINUS (VG-): Vinyl - Label Definitely Worn with Significant Ring Wear, Heavy Writing, or Other Obvious Damage; Significant Groove Wear and/or Scratches; If Played - Record Plays Through Without Skipping But Has Significant Surface Noise. Cover- Seam Splits Obvious on Sight; Distracting Ring Wear; Heavy Creases or Folds; Significant Defacing or Cut-Out; Heavy Writing, Tape, or Name-Sticker.
POOR (P) or FAIR (F): Vinyl- Cracked; Impossibly Warped; Skips or Repeats When Play Attempted. Cover - Makes you want to cry.
(Note: Unfortunately, there are buyers who unscrupulously swap a good pressing with a bad pressing; therefore - no returns.)
