1986 Great Sounds Radio Show 4 Hr/4 LP (Jerry Vale, Sinatra, G Miller, etc).
“The Great Sounds (Unistar January 3, 1986).” This is a 4-hour and 4 LP radio program hosted by Ray Otis featuring music of the 30s, 40s, 50s and newer with emphasis on music from the great American songbook. Each program features songs and interviews with a special guest, a segment on Frank Sinatra, and some programs highlight a specific year. In addition guest artists, etc. tell behind the scenes stories of the time. This week sees Jerry Vale as the featured guest with 12 Vale cuts and also appearances from Fran Warren, Alfred Drake, Bea Wain, and Lou Rawls. In total, each program usually features 40-50 cuts by artists and also included this week are: Frank Sinatra, Peggy Lee, Frankie Laine, Tommy Edwards, Mel Torme, Glenn Miller, Jimmie Lunceford, Erskine Hawkins, Tony Bennett, and more. Includes cue sheets (includes written notes, underlines, etc from stations). Records are in VG+ condition and cover is in VG condition. Postage will be paid by purchaser.
