IRON MAIDEN - The Soundhouse Tapes Rock Hard Records 45 ROK 1 (UK, 1979)
Here is the "Holy Grail" for your Maiden collection.This is the bands first official release and is very rare as there were only 5000 made. there have been bootlegs issued, But this is not one of them.
This is the real thing with the original top-opening picture sleeve and the correct etchings on the vinyl. Side 1 : *EG* SA LYN 7627 - IT ROK-1-A Side 2 : ROK-1-B LYN 7628 - IT *EG* SA The LYN numbers and the IT are very hard to read because they are super lightly etched.
The disc is in good shape and still has a nice shine to it like it’s brand new. There is a scuff that is side one (Iron Maiden) that is a bit longer then an inch, but it does not affect play on either of my turntables that I played it on. Side two (Invasion - Prowler) have no marks and is flawless. I hadn’t played this in years until I tested it on the turntable to listen for pops etc...
The Cover is in very good condition. For a 30 year old sleeve is has held up remarkably. There are no splits on the edges. Very, very little edge wear on the bottom, really not even worth mentioning but I don’t want you to be disappointed. The color is great, There is no fading. The sleeve opens on the top. There is a slight record impression on the sleeve where the record sits in it. There is a crease on the bottom front left and on the bottom right side of the back where the cover must have been bent back a little one time but it does not detract from the beauty of this record. Take a look at the pictures below to see what I'm talking about.
