SUMMARY

A First Pressing of the First album by the greatest Rock bands of all time.  An incredibly sort after  piece that is rarely seen on ebay ( * I have searched for many months now and not found any thus far).   An extremely rare and highly collectable LP - a must for any record true record collector.

OUTER SLEEVE

FRONT

Excellent -

In the bottom right hand corner there is some fraying which can be seen in the photos. Also there is some minor laminate creasing eminating from the entry of the sleeve and some softening of the corners.   However none of the laminate has peeled or perfurated and this has ensured the safety of the iconic Led Zeppelin balloon and surrounding artwork.  

BACK

Excellent -

There is some light fraying and browning where the laminant naturally finishes around the edges.  This aside the track listings and photos of Bonham, Jones, Page and Plant still retain their original quality and look terrific.

LABEL

Excellent +

There are some hardly noticeable marks on both sides of the label caused by the spindle of the record player rubbing against the label.   Otherwise the rare maroon and red label is in great condition.

VINYL

Very Good -

This exceptional record has of course been well played.  There are some surface marks and occasional scratches and abrasions on both sides of the vinyl. 

AUDIO QUALITY

Very Good +

Despite these marks on the vinyl the raw sound of Led Zeppelin still shines through.   The audio experience delivered by Led Zeppelin is still very special.

Dear collector my name is Sam Barraclough and I have undertaken the task of selling my father’s extensive record collection. He has amassed a considerable and varied vinyl collection of albums and singles during his time as a DJ and critic, with many rare and items included.  In addition to the known rare records there are many demo and promotional items, which were not available for general purchase. 

I have a data-based collection using the Rare Record Price Guides' grading scale (If you are unaware of this grading system please don’t hesitate to contact me and I will reply as soon as possible with the guides description). As you can see in the description there is a grading given for Vinyl and Audio Quality. This is necessary because a record may seem poor quality when viewed, but when played the Audio Quality is often excellent.  Conversely the Vinyl quality may seem excellent but when played the Audio Quality can be quite poor.

The chronology of the collection stretches from the early 1960s to the early 1980s with a concentration of British Beat, Rock, Punk and Mod - but I will only be selling those records that I value at £18(€27) or over.  If you have any questions concerning this item or wish to enquire about my record collection please contact me by asking a question via ebay or email: sambarraclough@gmail.com.  I will offer a full refund (minus postage) to the winning bidder if you find that any of the gradings (Outer Sleeve, Label, Vinyl or Audio Quality) given in the listing do not match the description of Rare Record Collector grading system. As you can see by my feedback I have attained a strong reputation based upon the accuracy of my description, communication with clients and a quick and professional postage.  So, in the unlikely event that you are dissatisfied, notify me within 48 hours of receipt that you are returning the album and I will deposit a full refund via Paypal. 

 Postage

 For domestic delivery I offer a choice of Royal Mail 1st Class or 2nd Class Post and a Recorded Delivery Service if requested.  For International customers Royal Mail Airmail and Surface Mail are available for dispatch of your item (please be aware of the considerable delivery time difference between the two- see table below).   Please select your preferred method of dispatch when paying for your item by using the “Pay now” link.  For all services I will obtain proof of postage which insures the record up to a value of £32 for lost or damaged items.  If additional insurance is desired, buyers should contact me after purchasing the item.

-          All records are securely packaged in thick plastic protectors inside a record mailer, with stiffeners for extra protection in transit.

-         All records are cleaned with a professional vinyl record cleaning liquid before dispatch.

* Note on additional photo

I have inserted another photo of the front of the sleeve taken with the flash on. This is to show that the lighting of the initial photo was giving an untrue impression of browning on the bottom/middle left hand/spine side of the front- this was actually the reflection of the laminant. As you can see, the additional (flash) photo gives a truer representation.  This may be a small detail to revise in this manner, but for such a collectable record, I deem it to be relevant.
