1st Press Psych Plum
Led Zeppelin 1 Top Copy LP
Here is a very rare and collectable original Led Zeppelin 1 Plum & Red Labelled Atlantic LP. Although not the turquoise lettered first sleeve, the record is marked with the first press record stamp matrix and is in a super condition throughout. A fantastic example of one of the best of all time on the original heavyweight vinyl pressing.

Sleeve:
This sleeve often turns up squashed and with many creases due to its fragile build. Not this one! It has retained its original shape without any squashing and the spine is still nice and square too. None of the edges are worn either and the front only has one of the synonymous 'half moon' creases always seemingly found on this Zeppelin. The rear too is in a near perfect condition! First 'orange letter' release with the silver line along the bottom edge, easily rates EX+
Vinyl:
To compliment the sleeve, the record itself is in super condition too. Only under very strong direct light will you detect the present hairlines only caused from removal from the inner sleeve and back. Overall, a lovely clean, shiny and fantastic example of this great LP EX+
Labels:
The labels are both clean, unmarked, unblemished, free from tears, free from writing and are without traces of spindle marks almost completely EX+
* Before i get inundated with emails from so-called Zepp fans - yes i know its not the 1st turquoise press or superhype label but the vinyl 1st press run far outlived the amount of turquoise sleeves produced and this record has the same run matrix (including the crossed out 8). Only the sleeves and label were reprinted and re-produced, the records that were produced (i.e this one) were not and are the same. Dont believe that everything you read in record collector is so black and white, its to help you differentiate the scarcer and more valuable items not to suggest that there were clear and distinct pauses between turquoise letter, orange letter, superhype, warner etc etc. I own two 1st press turquoise releases and i can assure you they are the same vinyl run as this one.
