FIRST PRESS STEREO

trees, garden Of Jane Delawney

Trees was a five-person folk-rock band who produced two albums for CBS in 1970 and then faded away to do other things.

Richie Unterberger in the 'All Music Guide' writes ~ “ In 1970, this British quintet released a couple of albums that made no bones about aping the approach of Fairport Convention (then at their peak). A mixture of traditional folk songs and originals, extended electric-guitar heavy arrangements, and a female singer who took many of the lead vocals -- it worked for Fairport. It didn't work as well for the Trees, for several reasons  …  The group broke up after two similar albums for British CBS, although they continued to play for a while in the early '70s with some personnel changes. Boshell, in an unlikely turn of events, joined Kiki Dee's Band, and wrote her biggest hit, "I've Got the Music in Me." ”

Ceilia Humpris (vocals), Bias Boshell (bass & acoustic guitars, some backing vocals), Barry Clarke (lead & acoustic guitars), David Costa (acousitic and 12-string guitars) and Unwin Brown (drums).

Rear of outer sleeve is in very good condition with just a hint of ring wear. and some light edge wear.

Front Cover:

Front cover is a satin finish with just a slight sign of aging. without any tears or writing, and is still visually very good to look at with no damage, writing, scuffing, just a hint of creasing, again this in just a small scuff mark on the base, the appearance of this sleeve is still very nice to look at

( see pictures)

Inner Sleeve:

inner sleeve is the original CBS inner and in good condition.(see pictures)

Vinyl Label:

Excellent: Orange CBS labels with black writing. in excellent + + condition with no damage

.

The labels to both A & B sides are in Excellent condition with just a very very faint whisper of spindle marking that is hardly visible to the eye, no damage around the spindle hole, no writing , no cracking, no missing print, and still a stunning , ( see photos)

The actual playing surface I would grade as excellent,

I can only see some fathering from sleeve removal. this is only visible under very strong lighting.

In all I will grade the album as:

outer and inner sleeves very good.

actual vinyl is excellent.

In all this is nice copy of the highly collectable album.

On 25-Nov-06 at 23:25:45 GMT, seller added the following information:

I just thought I would let all E-Bay buyers and sellers know why the seller with the user name  friskycockerspaniel or auctionspidermonkey left me neg feedback.

I bid and won a record from him/her and paid for it straight away as always, after a week I asked the seller where my record was.

He/she got back to me with the excuse that the record had been broken.

Two weeks later the same record went on sale again but with a different user name.

I noticed that the record and pictures and description were exactly the as the one that I won but that was supposed to have been broken.

I checked on this and found that both friskycockerspaniel and auctionspidermonkey the user who was now selling the record came from the same address.

I tried to contact both user names to question what was going on but to no avail

I reported this to E-bay as it is clear that these sellers are one of the same and wanted more than the price the first sale reached.

because I reported the seller to E-Bay this fraud also decided to be even more childish by leaving negative feedback for me.

Also note that this seller wanted £6 FOR POSTAGE within the UK for a 7” SINGLE

I bid on a record, I won the record then the seller wanted to hike up the price.

I conducted myself quite honestly and did nothing wrong.

I will be applying to E-Bay to have this idiots feedback removed.

My advise to my e-bay friend is this seller is less than honest and overcharges for postage is stay well clear of this/these sellers.

This one is a particularly nasty piece of work
