Description
“The New Metal Review Presents…” and so began the beginning of US metal. It was 1982 in LA, and Metallica was in their infancy. The band, featuring Dave Mustaine (Megadeth), Ron “McGouney” on bass and Llyod Grant on guitar made their vinyl debut on this lp, called “Mettallica.”
Brian Slagel picked the best bands in the scene to create this epic album, first in the Metal Massacre series and the first release from Metal Blade Records. Due to some business issues he had to pull this edition from stores and re-released it as a substitute Metal Massacre copy with a different lineup of bands.
This is the sought-after first release, first pressing, first everything! And it’s been played, as you can see in the pictures. The vinyl has some minor scratches/flaws but still plays well, enclosed by the original plain sleeve and the cover shows wear - use the pictures as your guide - they’ve been taken of the exact album you’ll be getting.
