Rare 1981 Government Issue LEGLESS BULL 10-song EP. Dischord Records #4. A true classic! USA hardcore punk band from Washington, D.C. The band released their first E.P. in 1981. "Government Issue originated in 1980 as The Stab, from which lead singer John Schroeder (RIP) derived his pseudonym John Stabb. As the members of The Stab drifted apart, Stabb and drummer Marc Alberstadt recruited guitarist John Barry and bassist Brian Gay, changing the band's name to Government Issue. They made their live debut at the two-day Unheard Music Festival in December 1980.Government Issue's debut EP Legless Bull was recorded with this original lineup and released through local label Dischord Records in September 1981." This record is previously owned by John Fox of United Mutations, another classic DC harDCore band from the early 1980s. This record and jacket is used but in good condition. Hand made record jacket is clean and still glued. For such delicate paper used to make a jacket it shows good. Close inspection shows: small crimps/tiny tears along top edge of jacket. Record is in good condition. There are some clicks most noticeable on the song "No Rights" on due to small scratch. "Fox" is written on the record label. Record could use a cleaning from dust. Insert is in great shape. A very rare opportunity to own a hard to find record in good condition. Some notes on this record: Printed lyric insert included. 1,000 copies pressed in one pressing.
