2 VERY RARE “DATE WITH CHRIS” (NOEL) ARMED FORCES RADIO & TELEVISION SERVICE STATION LIBRARY RECORD
RPL-1-8 Part 1 and 2
CHRIS NOEL : This is alot of fun looking her up on the web, what a great lady she is!!
CN "I was receiving a lot of letters from GIs, and I started reading parts of them on the air and playing the guys' song requests and dedications."
"A National Enquirer writer once accused me of being a Pentagon war propagandist. "I'm no propagandist," I replied, "I'm just a girl who's trying to make the men she loves happy. You see, I'm in love with half a million men—all our American troops in Vietnam." Leave it to the Enquirer to turn my words into a scandalous headline: "Chris Noel's Love Affair with Half a Million Men." But I didn't really mind, because you can't argue with the truth."
ARFTS records were pressed in low runs in California and shipped to each US base that had its own radio station. These records were then played live for troops and their families located on the bases, making this particular record very rare and also a highly collectible relic of the Vietnam War.

The music is good (mono) but that's not what make this a great collection, it's history man.
I date it 1967, becuse of the relesses date of the songs.
I ALSO RECORDED IT AND PUT IT ON CD AS WELL!
