2 CHRIS KENNER M- 45s! FUNK SOUL "I LIKE IT LIKE THAT" + "LAND OF 1000 DANCES"

This product data sheet is originally written in English.

2 CHRIS KENNER HIT singles!

1) I LIKE IT LIKE THAT Pt.1/Pt.2 (Instant 3229 1st pressing, 1961);  plus

2) LAND OF 1000 DANCES/THAT'S MY GIRL (Instant 3252 1st pressing, 1963): 2 CLEAN M- GEM 45s!

Score both New Orleans classics in terrific condition!

Chris Kenner (1929-1976) almost topped the Hot 100 with I Like It Like That in 1961. Ably assisted by King of the Keys Allan Toussaint, Chris recorded a superb NOLA-style R&B chant and it clicked.

Chris' Land Of 1000 Dances roared out of Nawlins during dance-crazed 1963. Although it only reached #77 on the pop chart, it inspired East L.A. Latino rockers Thee Midniters to wax a hit cover & Wilson Pickett reached #6 on the Hot 100 with his 1966 version.

2 magnificent chunks of OG soulful funk that'll sound terrific on your turntable, jukebox...or put 'em in The Vault!
