2 LP LOT
“ROUGH N’ TUMBLE” - Stanley Turrentine - Blue Note BST 84240 - blue/white Liberty Records labels, heavy vinyl (NY USA label heavy!), and Van gelder in the deadwax!! - very, very early stereo pressing (you will see both NY USA and Liberty Records label on essentially the same slabs of wax during this transitional Blue Note ownership period!!! - - really killer larger ensemble date (often gets overlooked but this thing cooks!), with Turrentine pushed along by Blue Mitchell, James Spaulding, Pepper Adams, Grant Green, McCoy Tyner, Bob Cranshaw, and Mickey Roker (with this lineup, especially Green!, how can this be bad!) - - the vinyl grade is VG+ (strong), with light, inconsistent surface noise - sounds great!! - the cover grade is VG+, with some stickers and normal edge/rubbing wear - - check out the jazz album review at All Music Guide.com!!
“COMMON TOUCH” - Stanley Turrentine - Blue Note BST 84315 - blue/white Liberty Records labels, Van gelder in the deadwax!! - first stereo pressing!! - - funky 1969 date with Turrentine’s tenor and Shirly Scott’s organ paired nicely, along with Jimmy Ponder on guitar, Bob Cranshaw on bass, and Leo Morris on drums!! - - the vinyl grade is VG+, with fairly consistent, yet light surface noise (less on Side 1 than Side 2) never interferes with the music - solid player!! - the cover grade is VG (strong), with partial, small seam splitting, moderate rubbing/edge wear and a price sticker - - check out the jazz album review at All Music Guide.com!!
I am a longtime collector of jazz LPs and most of the LPs offered are from my personal collection. The LPs have been play-graded. I rarely will use NM- (my highest grade for an opened LP) and differentiate between VG+ and VG with additional language such as (strong), (solid), and weak). I am known for my conservative grading - just check my feedback!!
I know how to package and ship LPs safely and only use LP cardboard mailers with added cardboard inserts or bubblewrap. All LPs are in sleeves and have already been removed from their covers for shipment. I do not overcharge for shipping and will combine LPs to save you shipping costs. I have the ability to ship up to 25 LPs in a single shipment.
Media Mail for a single LP in the continental U.S. is $4.50 - $1 for each additional LP. Priority Mail for a single LP in the continental U.S. is $6.25 - $1 for each additional LP. Ignore the Ebay shipping costs, especially for multiple items. I welcome international bidders and will ship anywhere the U.S. Postal Service ships! Shipping rates will vary on where you live and the weight of the package. I never charge more than $2 over the actual shipping costs to cover my handling expenses. I usually ship between 1 to 3 business days after receiving payment.
I am not responsible for lost or damaged packages (rare but it happens). If you want insurance please ask. If you are not satisfied with the LP for some reason please notify me before leaving feedback. I accept returns up to one week after delivery and will refund the cost of the LP or LPs but not your shipping.
