"Come To The Party b/w Slow Death" on IT 2307 (and) "Remember Mary? b/w Too Many Fish In The Sea" on Maintain 2315
This 4-member garage band formed in 1965 in Keokuk, Iowa. Featuring lead guitarist/vocalist
Dennis Chamberlain and a young promoter-booking agent named Craig Moore (later of GONN)
they were early garage rock pioneers in the Southeast Iowa, Northwest Missouri,
& the Western Illinois regions.
Like many of their rivals, (The Outcasts, The Pagans, & The Intruders), they were a staple
on the dance circuit, playing at Roller-Rinks, Knights of Columbus Halls, even the Keokuk
Holiday Inn regularly, along with many other lesser-known garage band "wannabee's".
Their popularity gained the interest of the legendary Freddie Tieken, who signed them to his
IT recording studio (located in the basement of his Quincy, IL. home) in October '65.
As legend has it, Chamberlain asked Craig Moore to play bass, but due to his inability at the time
on a guitar, Craig (who worked for a local newspaper) backed out - later forming the short-lived Pagans.
And after a few bass guitar lessons from an Outcasts' member......Craig formed the legendary GONN.
The rest, as they say, is history.

A-side is a frantic guitar-driven vocal screamer.
B-side is a rockin' guitar instrumental.
"Remember Mary? b/w Too Many Fish In The Sea"
(Maintain) IT-2315 Released in early '67
A-side is a moody organ-driven "Rolling Stones-like" vocal number, featuring Dennis on a 12-string.
Groovy, almost psych-sounding.
B-side is a garage cover of The Marvelettes hit sounding more like "Mitch Ryder & The Detroit Wheels".
Both 45's play great despite having been stored with other records, and still display a glossy vinyl. We have seen (1) other of the IT single. We have never seen another copy of the MAINTAIN 45. In fact, we can't find any information on the Maintain label at all - other than it was released
using an IT label catalog #. All (4) sides were briefly re-issued on an Italian-EP in 2001.
The group disbanded in September of 1967.
