Description

Rare Johnny Cash & Rosanne Cash Acetates

Description

Up for bid is a set of Johnny Cash and Rosanne Cash Rare Test Pressing Acetates from their hit singles. The first Test Pressing Acetate is from Johnny Cash first hit single “When Hank Williams Came to Town” with Mercury/Polygram Records. The second Test Pressing Acetate is from Rosanne Cash Grammy Award winning hit single "I Don't Know Why You Don't Want Me" in 1985.

This were used as reference discs allowing the producer, engineer, artist and other interested parties to see how well the recording transfers to disc. Not sure, but One (Johnny Cash) might be the Master Lacquer for the Hit single. They are very rare and One of a kind!

Both acetates or Lacquers are in great condition. The only visible marks are some light smudges, a little bit of dust (can be cleaned) and tiny dings on the outer rim of the acetates (one has two and the other one three) these do not affect playability or quality of sound reproduction. There is one small stain close to the label on one of them (please see picture below). Both might need dusting off. Please see pictures to see the condition of the acetates. I’m no expert but they look in great condition. (See for yourself, the pictures are below)

Here’s a web site with information on What are Acetates: http://www.madonnacatalog.com/guides/acetate.htm

Please make sure to check out my other auctions. I will be adding more vinyl’s this week.
