Special note to foreign bidders: PLEASE READ BEFORE BIDDING!! IN PURCHASING THIS ITEM, YOU ARE AGREEING THERE ARE NO REFUNDS FOR ANY REASON ON FOREIGN SHIPMENTS. In order for me to ship out of the U.S., it is much more effort and expense.

1. Because of this, I do not ship to foreign buyers if the value of the item is less than $20.
2. For items $20-$50, I can ship First class International to buyers with perfect feedback. This method is NOT insurable or trackable, but costs less. Weight must be less than 4 pounds.
3. For items $50-$100, I would ship via priority mail international with insurance for the value bid. Some countries do not allow insurance. Please e-mail for shipping costs before bidding as this method costs more, but is insurable (usually) and trackable.
4. For items > $100, it will have to go some method that can be signed for. Global Express, probably, it is expensive!

END NOTE TO FOREIGN BUYERS.

Description: Up for your consideration is the next in a series of unique Lps, this one a set of two discs by Shorty Rogers and his Giants.  Briefly, discs are decent, covers, one decent, one with seam splits.  Read on for more details.  Each of these two discs books at $200 if in Near Mint condition, $100 if in VG+ condition, $50 if in VG condition according to the price guide I use.  Obviously, these are NOT near mint.

A few unique things about this item:
Firstly, these records retain lots of the original shine with some scattered very light to light marks  grading by sight in normal room light.  I'm sure if you took these and put them under a 1000 watt bulb, you'd probably find something that makes them less than mint.  If you're that kind of collector, let me suggest this auction is not for you.

I don't claim these records are mint.  Based on past experience and visual examination, I'd expect the tracks to audibly average around VG+(excellent) with some scattered very light to light surface noise and some very light to light pops.  If you'd like a detailed audio grade of an entire disc, no problem.  Just drop me a note well in advance of the end of auction.  You can then assign your own grade based on my comments and the grading scale shown below.

Keep in mind how it plays for me may differ than how it plays for you based on differences in audio equipment.

So this is your chance to own a unique item at a reasonable price.  Bid early and often so you don't miss out on this auction!

It is further described below, please take the time to read before bidding.

Please e-mail if questions.

Be sure to check my other listings to save postage on multiple winning bids.  Please explore the "me" link next to feedback rating) to check out my store and some of the 15,000+ records I have for sale as well as the LP to CD transfer service I offer.

I am using the Goldmine scale of G=Good(1), VG = Very Good(2), VG+ = Very Good Plus(excellent)(3), NM = Near Mint(4) when grading the disc(s).

Here is a summary of the record(s):

Additional criteria I use when audibly grading records for people:

• NM(4) = absolutely nothing wrong at all (very rarely happens--I've even opened sealed records and they don't play Near Mint)
• 3.5-3.9 = very, very light surface noise
• 3.1-3.4 = very light surface noise, very light pops
• VG+(3) = up to light pops and light surface noise (below this, one's enjoyment is affected, very subjective)
• VG(2) = up to medium pops and moderate surface noise
• G(1) = up to heavy pops and heavy surface noise

I normally ship a single record in a standard 12.5 x 12.5 x 1 record mailer.  Weight with box is 1 pound 7 ounces. Shipping is $3.27 Media Rate (1-2 pounds) + $1.20 box/tape/pack + $.03 handling = $4.50.
Alternatively, I can ship in a  14 x 14 x 6" box. Weight with box is about 2 pound 1 oz. Shipping is $3.79 Media Rate (2-3 pounds) + $1.70 box/tape/packing + $.50 handling = $5.99.

This auction is currently set to ship in the smaller box.  If you want the larger box, let me know and I'll send an appropriate invoice.

Buyer pays shipping/handling. Standard method within U.S. is Media Rate, $4.50 This includes online tracking. Outside U.S., e-mail location to determine S/H costs prior to auction end. Insurance / other methods of shipping cost extra. Payment received within ten days of auction ending. Payment via Paypal preferred.
