PREWAR 78'S
Domestic buyers note: Insurance will be added to shipments over $50 value. Or on request for any package and it is recommended.
Expensive(over $200) orders I will NOT ship media. This is due to continuing slow and poor media mail "service".
If Buying BIN or WINNING from AUCTION MULTIPLE items-Wait for my COMBINED invoice-do not pay ebay's incorrectly-combined invoice.
Condition: Side 1 visual V Solid player with expected clicks and pops; s.1 has audible grit scratches first 1/2" so V- for that section
- s.2 VV+ and features Armstrong weaving in and out of the rollicking New Orleans ensemble capped off by Oliver Armstrong duet breaks!
Brian Rust and Walter Allen's King Joe Oliver 1957 book ranked Oliver rarity levels(See pic!) and his findings from 64 years ago hold true today. 8148 is the second rarest Oliver band Okeh borne out by the few that show up on and all in G to V- shape. I've seen a V+ on another auction but only 8253 is scarcer. There's likely cleaner copies in collections based on recent reissues but they aren't hitting the market.
Slash grades(E-/V+) mean the second side is in different shape. VV+ denotes between grades.
