Description

20th Century Fox Acetate Transcription Disc from the Movie "Stormy Weather" - Lena Horne - Dory Previn from "Valley of the Dolls" on Side 2?
An odd 12-inch acetate record indeed!

Side One is the entire song from the final scene/big production number from the 1943 movie "Stormy Weather" and features a very young Lena Horne and Bill "Bojangles" Robinson singing "I Can't Give You Anything But Love." It plays back at 78 rpm. Label is torn.

Side Two has no label but is a 33 1/3 rpm acoustical version of the theme from the 1967 movie "Valley of the Dolls" sung by (I think) Dory Previn, but I'm not sure if that's her. It is not the same Dory Previn version of the song heard on the "Valley of the Dolls" soundtrack album since in this arrangement it's just voice, guitar, bass and celesta (no orchestra or reverb as heard on the soundtrack album she sings on.) Don't know more about the disc, but may be "one of a kind."

CONDITION: There is some surface noise on both sides but still quite playable.

WILL BE CAREFULLY PACKED IN A BOX PLACED INSIDE A LARGER BOX TO PREVENT POSSIBLE BREAKAGE IN SHIPPING.
