This listing is for an increasingly rare vinyl pressing of the Greatest Hits of the late great 2Pac.  There have only been 4 pressings of this all in 1998, 2 in Europe under Virgin or Death Row/Jive and 2 in the US under the same labels.  This is the UK/Europe under Death Row, which I believe was for the UK only and the Virgin pressing for wider export in Europe.  
All examples are very hard to come by and are becoming increasingly valuable so this is a great investment and collectors piece.  There are only a couple examples on international ebay and they are sealed and going for £350+ plus a small fortune to import into the UK.
This example on first appearance is well worn but having played it all the way through the sound quality is excellent, so a great example for the collector who wants to enjoy these great tracks.  The opening track Keep Ya Head Up is one of my favourites and I've never heard it better than on this, stunning deep bass which doesn't resonate and beautiful clear vocals.  Blows the recent Death Row remasters out of the water and I think on some tracks at least on par if not better than the original albums.

All of my records are play tested on a Project Debut Carbon with 2M Red stylus which is quite revealing so any sound defects may be more exaggerated than on other more mainstream players.  Or conversely if you are a full on audiophile I will let you judge how your set up compares and how you envisage the sound will compare.
I don't currently have access to a cleaning machine so please forgive any dust or finger marks which are on any of my records - hopefully will be investing in one at some point.
Record Appearance - VG/VG+ Overall somewhere in between VG and VG+ but I think with a machine clean would increase to the latter.  There are few marks and light scratches but nothing deep or that affect playback.  The shine is dulled on most sides so obviously been in storage for a while, so again a machine clean would bring this back to life.  Labels are all in good condition with no pen marks and just the usual spindle marks when held under a bright light.
Record Audio - VG+ Being 8 sides there is a lot to go through, but overall surface noise is very minimal and only audible between tracks from memory.  A real pleasant surprise considering the records are quite dull looking.  The sound quality is phenomenal, on par with anything I have heard from Death Row which is unusual for a compilation.  Big deep rich sound and crisp vocals you only get from these pre-digital pressings, you wont be disappointed.  I am confident a machine clean would bring this to a Near Mint if it isn't there already.
Record Sleeve - G The sleeve does let the party down a little but hard to be too disappointed as it is such a collectable piece and the audio is excellent.  The outer sleeve has considerable shelf wear along the edges and spine, partially removing some of the title.  There is some ring wear but disguised by the bright colours of the front cover and would look a lot better in a good dust cover.  There is a penned initial under the Parental Advisory label also.  The inner gatefold doesn't have any pen marks or damage just general creasing from not being stored very well.  Records are stored in plain white inners and are in average condition and if I had spares I would replace them.
