CHECK OUT MY OTHER PUNK ROCK RECORDS CURRENTLY UP FOR AUCTION!!!!!! ORIGINAL SECOND PRESSING!!!!! If you're into Washington D.C. punk bands then you need this! Very rare 1981 State Of Alert- No Policy 10-song EP. 45 RPM. Dischord Records #2. A true classic! USA hardcore punk band from Washington, D.C. The band released their first E.P. in 1981. "State Of Alert (aka S.O.A.) was a hardcore punk band formed in 1980 in Washington DC by vocalist Henry Garfield (aka Henry Rollins) along with Wendel Blow (bass), Michael Hampton (guitar), and Simon Jacobson (drums), the latter 3 being former members of a local band called The Extorts (Extorts vocalist Lyle Preslar went on to join Minor Threat). The band played a handful of local shows and put out a 7" EP before disbanding in 1981 when Henry left to join Black Flag."

S.O.A (STATE OF ALERT) NO POLICY E.P
SIDE 1: LOST IN SPACE / DRAW BLANK /GIRL PROBLEMS / BLACKOUT /GATE CRASHERS
SIDE 2: WAR ZONE / RIOT / GANG FIGHT / PUBLIC DEFENDER / GONNA HAVE TO FIGHT

This record is previously owned by John Fox, guitarist of United Mutations, another classic DC harDCore band from the early 1980s. This record and jacket is used but in good condition. Hand made record jacket is clean and still glued. For such delicate paper used to make a record jacket it shows great. Close inspection shows: edge wear/rounded corners on the bottom, tiny tear along top edge of jacket above the letter, "S". Record is in good condition. Side A plays pretty clean. Side B also plays pretty clean except for a couple clicks on the last song "Gonna Have To Fight". "Fox" is written on the record label. Record could use a cleaning from dust. Folded insert is in great shape. A very rare opportunity to own a hard to find record in good condition.
Some notes on this record: Recorded in December 1980 and January 1981.
Printed lyric insert included. Second pressing of 1,000 copies on black vinyl. Track B5 "Gonna Have To Fight" is listed as "Gonna Hafta' Fight" on center label.
