A lot of two (2) ULTRA RARE Elvis Presley 7” Vinyl 45RPM Records - one a rare promo & the other a rare Japanese Import.
The promo is ‘Home Is Where The Heart Is’ / ‘King Of The Whole Wide World’ (SP-45-118) from RCA Victor, released only to a limited number of radio stations in 1962: features Elvis Presley, The Jordanaires - “King Of The Whole Wide World” / “Home Is Where The Heart Is”. The black label has the RCA Victor logo and the dog mascot. “Not for Sale” is printed on both the A and B Sides of the label. Made in the U.S.
The Japan Import is that of ‘(Let Me Be Your) Teddy Bear’ / ‘That’s When Your Heartache Begins.’
This was a surprising & exciting find - it has the Victor label, and above ‘Victor’ reads ‘Manufactured by Victor Company Of Japan, LTD, Tokohoma, Japan from a Master Recording from Radio Corporation of America.’ It has the song titles listed first in English and the followed underneath in Japanese..
**Both records have some hairline scratches, though they have been tested & both play all the way through with some crackle.
***These are among the rarest of Elvis Presley 45rpm records. One is a promotional copy and is marked ‘Not For Sale.’ Released in 1962 to U.S. radio stations to promote Elvis’ movie, ‘The Kid Galahad’. We are not vinyl record aficionados and have not been trained to professionally grade vinyl; however, we evaluate every vinyl record we sell & do our best to describe every detail, especially what we perceive as flaws. This ultra rare 7” promo has some scratches (see photos). The original sleeve is not included but the item will come in a generic sleeve. The label has two ‘X’s’ written on it with a black marker - this was most likely done to ensure the vinyl was not to be put up for sale.
