Description
For sale is a vinyl LP by Ameican vocal group formed in the 1950s who first gained success and fame with their single “Shout” (1959) and later cemented their popularity with the hugely successful “Twist and Shout” (recorded in 1962). “3 + 3” is the 11th album released by the group, which had at it’s core the vocal trio of brothers Ronald Isley, Rudolph Isley and O’Kelly Isley, Jr., and the first to increase the family group to 6 with the addition of brothers Ernie (lead guitar and drums), Marvin (bass guitar) and brother-in-law Chris Jasper on keyboards and synthesizers. Released in August 1973 by TNECK (the groups own label) and distrubuted by Columbia Records, this was their first album to go platinum. Personnel on this LP are: Ronald Isley - lead vocals; Rudolphy Isley - lead and background vocals; O’Kelly Isley, Jr. - lead & background vocals; Ernie Isley - guitars; Marvin Isley - bass guitar; Chris Jasper - electric piano, clavinet, ARP synthesizer; George Moreland - drums; and Truman Thomas on organ.
