Description
Here for auction are three Beatles UK vinyl LPs - all from the early 1970s - and all in great condition. Also includes original bag from the record store in London the records were purchased.
The labels of these LPs read "The Gramophone Co Ltd...." in the perimeter print. The labels are black w/silver print - indicative of early 1970s releases. Also the covers were produced by Garrod & Lofthouse Ltd. These covers have the fold over flaps on the back cover also indicative of early 1970s releases. Each LP has the original inner sleeve from EMI Records that has photos of other EMI releases including the McCartney solo LP, Sgt Pepper, Ringo's Sentimental Journey, etc.
1) With The Beatles - Parlophone Records PCS 3045 - songs include - It Won't Be Long, All My Loving, Till There Was You, Please Mr Postman, Money, I Wanna Be Your Man, Roll Over Beethoven, and more. The vinyl is in vg++ condition. Matrix number on side 1 dead wax is YEX 110-2; side 2 is YEX 111-2. The cover is also in vg++ condition.
2) Please Please Me - Parlophone Records PCS 3042 - songs include - I Saw Her Standing There, Boys, Ask Me Why, Please Please Me, Twist & Shout, Do You Want To Know A Secret, PS I Love You, plus more. The vinyl is in near mint minus condition - labels are unmarked. The matrix number for side 1 is YEX 94-1; side 2 is YEX 95-1. The cover is near mint and beautiful!
3) Beatles For Sale - Parlophone Records PCS 3062 - songs include - No Reply, Rock and Roll Music, 8 Days A Week, Words of Love, I Don't Want To Spoil The Party, Honey Don't and more; the vinyl has a couple of small scratches - vg++; side 1 matrix number is YEX 142-1; side 2 is YEX 143-1. Labels are unmarked. The gatefold cover has a couple of areas that show wear, in particular, the corners are slighty bent. There is a small area that has been taped on the inside of the gatefold cover where the record is encased. Also, there is a record store sticker on the back cover - bottom right. Overall cover grade - vg+.
