Description

Up for grabs is an original 1955 Sun Records #223 78 vinyl record of Elvis Presley's "Mystery Train" on side A & "I Forgot to Remember to Forget" on side B. This is an authentic 10" single from Sun Records, purchased from a Christy's auction of rock n roll memorabilia about 10 yrs ago and comes uncleaned and untouched other than the test play when purchased and for this listing since being purchased.

Side A is in VG+ to Ex- condition with just a few light surface marks & a beautiful NM label. The groves are deep, and well defined & must have been rarely played. Its been tested and plays/sounds great, no skipping with barely any popping noise; a fine copy that's rarely available in such great condition. Side B is a solid, conservative VG to VG+, definitely more to the VG+ side with an easy EX+ label, its only flaw being the light ring wear around the edge. The vinyl itself has several light surface scratches, but again the groves are still deep & defined and it plays without skipping and average to less than average noise/pops for its age and rarity. Its certainly collectable quality & condition and would make a great addition to a serious collector's inventory. It would make any fan of vinyl and/or rock N roll memorabilia happy & proud to have and it's one of the most sought pieces of vintage vinyl, and comes in a condition that's far better than most surviving copies still in existence.

Comes in a off white generic paper sleeve and will be well packed with lots of padding and bubble wrap to ensure its safety for trip to its new soon to be owner.

While I do try my best to grade all my records fairly and conservatively, there are times when two people can and do differ on grades, so again please ask away if there's any concerns you may have and I'd be happy send additional photos to anyone on request.
