3 OZZIE NELSON 78's -- STOMPIN' at the SAVOY, Doing the Prom, JOSEPH, Stuttering

This lot contains three 10-inch 78 RPM records, all in the jazz or swing genre, and all by Ozzie Nelson and his Orchestra. Only the Brunswick is considered "hot" enough for inclusion in Brian Rust's iconic Hot Jazz Discography but the other two are in his "American Dance Band Discography", so relevant discographic information is provided (in parentheses), and those with no vocalist listed are instrumental. All three records showed up for the first picture, then they are shown individually, both sides, in the following order:

Bluebird # B-7465 - "Joseph" and "Happy Ending" (both recorded March 4, 1938, with vocals by Ozzie Nelson on both sides).

Bluebird # B-10371 - "Stuttering in the Starlight" and "Loveliness" (both recorded July 20, 1939, with vocals by Harriet Hilliard on the former, and Ozzie Nelson on the latter).

Brunswick # B-7659 - "Stompin' at the Savoy" and "Doing the Prom" (both recorded April 6, 1936). 

The two Bluebird records fall well within the VG+ range or better, still nice and shiny and very little visible surface wear. The Brunswick sides are both duller and have more wear. They all play through with no skips or jumps on my Audio-Technica turntable, and mostly just typical light background noise, with some scattered clicks or pops or ticking, especially on the Brunswick. Because of variations in tracking ability, filtering technology and needle weights, I can offer no guarantees as to how well they will play on your equipment. Please also check the pictures for any label damage or inscriptions or stickers.
