Excellent condition copy of this rare Mono only 1956 (?) release on the Columbia label (cat no : 33CX 1422) with its original Blue & Gold label design.

Michael Rabin (violin) performs Violin Concertos by Tchaikovsky (Concerto in D major, Op. 35) and Saint-Saens (Introduction and Rondo Capriccioso, Op. 28) with the Philharmonia Orchestra conducted by Alceo Galliera.

Overall condition is Excellent. The sleeve is not perfect as there is a nasty tear running diagnolly down from about the middle of the right hand edge for about 9 or 10cm and a smaller tear about 6cm up from the bottom edge running for about 3cm. These tears can be seen on the photograph and really they could probably be mended very nicely with some invisible tape. Other than that, the sleeve is excellent. The rear sleeve is nice and clean and still fairly crisp with the foldovers nicely intact. The spine is still intact and unsplit and is very clean and unrubbed. The titles are still clearly legible and the spine looks very good on the shelf.

The playing surfaces are visibly in Excellent condition with no visible scratches, scuffs or abrasions. Playback is really excellent with only slight surface noise and no pops, clicks or crackles.

Please note that this record has been play graded with my stereo cartridge (Linn Arkiv) Playback with a dedicated mono cartridge may give different resuts.

All LP's are posted in professional quality mailers with 2 stiffeners for protection. LP's are removed from the outer sleeves in order to prevent damage to the spines. Boxed sets are dispatched in professional, heavy duty cruciform mailers with stiffeners (if necessary - inside and out)
